Eucharist

The Catechism of the Catholic Church calls Holy Communion "the source and summit of Christian Life". In the celebration of the Eucharist, bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the priest consecrates the bread and wine in persona Christi, and their substances actually change into the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ - even as they still appear as bread and wine. This change is called “transubstantiation", and this is why we call the Eucharist the Real Presence of Jesus Christ.

We encourage you to join us at Our Lady of Nazareth to experience the most treasured gift given to the Church by the Lord at the Last Supper (Matthew 26:26-29). Mass times can be found on the Mass Schedule page.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever, and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.
John 6:51
