Becoming Catholic
RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process when someone experiences an encounter with Jesus Christ and makes a conscious choice to explore the Christian faith. If you are already baptized in another faith tradition, your journey will include being received into Full Communion with the Catholic Church. The journey of RCIA includes several steps and culminates with the Inquirer coming into full initiation with the Catholic Church at the Easter vigil, where they are baptized, confirmed, and receive the Eucharist.
